What should I buy them? A Holiday Gift Guide (for the fellas)
So to follow up on my post for the ladies, I figured you'd want a guide for the guys too.
Now just to add to this: I am having my boyfriend help me create a holiday guide because lets face it:
Girls sometimes know nothing about dudes.
SO HERE WE GO:
For the guy who's super into nerdy things and stuff, but you're like, "I'm not buying him another action figure":
The R2D2 phone charger. It fits into the cigarette lighter in your car, has USB ports so you can charge stuff, and it makes noises when you plug things in. WUT. This is adorable and something you're not going to be embarrassed by.
A Game of Thrones (or whatever he's into) t-shirt. Etsy is loaded with them, and there's a crap-ton of designs to choose from. I like these list t-shirts and they're kind of a nice way for your guy to show off without screaming his fandom. Well-read people will get what's up.
For the guy who is kind of into self grooming, or you're just tired of him washing with bar soap:
Cologne is an easy option. You're the one picking it out so you can pick something you think smells nice- instead of letting him pick what flavor of Axe and Old Spice is least offensive.
This one in particular is Burberry Brit for Men, and smells amazing. I bought it for my boyfriend a couple years ago. Its kind of a manly, clean smell- and a little citrus-y and there may be hints of vanilla. I don't know what it is, but it's such a good dude smell.
Anything from Jack Black is awesome. They have a great skin-care line, some good stuff for shaving, and their lip balms are to die for. The flavors are very sophistacated- like lemon chamomile and blackberry tea. The balms themselves last forever and they have SPF 25. They smell amazing too, so kissing is definitely on the menu.
For the guy who kind of has everything, or buys what he needs, or does that thing where you're like, "what do you want for Christmas?" and he's like, "I only want your love" or some BS like that.
Gift Cards. Gift cards and certificates everywhere.
Here's some places boys usually shop at for their essentials:
www.thinkgeek.com
Target
Walgreens
CVS
Nordstroms
Macy's
Lucky Brand
American Eagle
Barns and Noble
H&M
etc
Sometimes guys just want money or gift cards to save themselves a little money in the next few months. Think about it, that dude gave up buying himself razors or toothpaste so that he could buy you that fly purse you've been hinting at for awhile. It might be a good idea to either get gift cards to places he likes or treat him at a great massage place, pay for him to get an expensive haircut, or take him to a tattoo shop to freshen up his ink so it looks like new.
And as a side note, Roger said "trimmers" like a billion times, so maybe getting your guy a face or nose trimmer would be a good idea too.
